Verstappen Peerless with Win from 14th on Grid

Max Verstappen produced a remarkable performance to win the Belgian Grand Prix from 14th on the grid.

Starting from the back of the field after a grid penalty, the Red Bull driver produced a stunning display of driving to overtake 13 cars and claim victory at the famous Spa-Francorchamps circuit.

It was Verstappen's ninth win of the season, extending his lead in the drivers' championship to 93 points. Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton finished second, while Ferrari's Carlos Sainz completed the podium.

Verstappen's victory was a masterclass in racecraft, as he made a series of bold overtakes to move up the order. He passed Fernando Alonso around the outside of Eau Rouge on the opening lap, and then made a daring move on Sergio Perez at Les Combes a few laps later.

From there, Verstappen continued to charge through the field, passing car after car with ease. He eventually caught up to Hamilton with just a few laps remaining, and made the decisive move at the Bus Stop chicane.

Verstappen's win was a resounding statement of his dominance in Formula 1. He has now won five of the last six races, and is the clear favorite to claim his second world championship this season.
