Belgian Grand Prix: Leclerc Wins Pole, Verstappen Penalised
Leclerc Takes Pole Position
Charles Leclerc will start the Belgian Grand Prix from pole position after qualifying second fastest behind Red Bull's Max Verstappen. The Ferrari driver edged out Verstappen by just 0.023 seconds in a thrilling qualifying session at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.
Verstappen Penalised
However, Verstappen will start from 11th place due to a 10-place grid penalty for making an engine change. This gives Leclerc a significant advantage in the race, as he will be starting from the front of the grid.
Russell Wins Race
George Russell took a stunning victory from sixth on the grid in an engrossing Belgian Grand Prix. The Mercedes driver held off teammate Lewis Hamilton to take his first Formula 1 win.
Hamilton Second
Hamilton finished second, ahead of Red Bull's Sergio Perez. Ferrari's Carlos Sainz Jr. finished fourth, ahead of Alpine's Fernando Alonso and McLaren's Lando Norris.
